MONTEREY BAY MARINE FORECAST

 Note: A cool front will move southward over the coastal waters late tonight and Tuesday morning. Winds will increase from early to mid week with gale force winds developing over the northern outer coastal waters later Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Northwest swell will build Tuesday and as northwest winds increase wind generated waves will also build generating large and hazardous seas Tuesday night into Wednesday. Winds and waves will subside Thursday.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect from 8 AM through 8 PM Tuesday.
NW wind 15 to 25 kt with gusts to 30 kt. Mixed swell...NW 2 to 4 ft at 15 seconds and SW 1 to 2 ft at 14 seconds. Wind waves 4 to 6 ft.
