Luau 2008 Fundraiser
March 29, 2008: Ke Kai O'Uhane Annual Luau & Fundraiser
Sherwood Hall, Salinas. What a blast. All dancers this year were from the Ke Kai Ohana.

Holo Holo Paniolo
Saturday, December 8 at 5pm, Sunday, December 9 at noon
Ferrante Rooms at the Monterey Conference Center. Admission is free and donates are requested to benefit the Salvation Army. This documentary features the Hawaiian vaquero connection to the Monterey Bay.

Sprint #4, Quarry Lakes, Fremont
Saturday, July 7th, 6:30 a.m. - 6:45 a.m.
This race is with the dragon boats. So, please bring comfortable chairs. The weather is expected to be in the high 70's, but it could also change suddenly. So please bring lots of water and sunscreen. Remember to hydrate often.

Aloha Festival & the Alcatraz Challenge
August 4 & 5, 2007

Saturday, July 7th, 6:30 a.m.
Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and all the things you need for the day as there is no in and out privileges at Shadow Cliffs. More details to follow.

Sprint #2, Lake Natoma, Sacramento
Saturday, June 23rd, 6:30 a.m.
The race site opened at 6:30 am and mahalos to all paddlers who showed up to help. Parking fee is $7.00 per car (corrected from $5.00 previously). Please view hotel, potluck information and hotel discount at the Marriott. Google map is listed above in the map column or use these directions. Hydrate, sunblock, hydrate.

Spam Jam
Sunday, June 17th, Laguna Seca, 10 am - 7pm
Ke Kai O'Uhane participated in the recycling program and a food booth. See the mouth watering menu above. The President's Spam Jam Wrapup has been posted.

Monterey/Carmel Travel Fundraiser
June 15, 2007: Monterey-Carmel Travel Fundraiser, Monterey, CA

As a pre-fesitivity for Spam Jam, the Aloha canoe was rented as a fundraiser. Surprise! The professional dance troup from the Polynesian Cultural Center performed for a small crowd. See the Aloha story, and the pictures on this page.

June 9, 2007: NCOCA Sprint Regatta #1 at Monterey Beach, CA
The first sprint race of the Northern California Outrigger Canoe Association 2007 Season, a malia traditional canoe race, was a balmy sunny day at Monterey Beach. Race results have been posted on the NCOCA website and is linked thru the schedule above. If you wish to post photos, please send your 400x600 jpg file and request to photos@kekaiouhane.org.

March 24, 2007: Ke Kai O'Uhane Annual Luau & Fundraiser
Our annual fundraiser luau and polynesian show at Sherwood Hall in Salinas was a huge success to our sell out crowd. Please join us next year and reserve your seat well in advance. Mahalo to all those who participated, volunteered, and saw the show.
